Arrest Drive Underway in Spanish Town and Portmore for Tax Breaches
Tax Administration Jamaica’s (TAJ) Special Enforcement Team (SET), collaborating with the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s St.
Tax Administration Jamaica’s (TAJ) Special Enforcement Team (SET), collaborating with the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s St. Catherine North and South Divisions, is currently arresting several taxpayers in Spanish Town and Portmore. The operation titled “Old Capital 2.1” is targeting tax evaders for whom the Spanish Town Parish Court have issued arrest warrants.

The operation titled “Old Capital 2.1” is targeting tax evaders for whom the Spanish Town Parish Court have issued arrest warrants.
TAJ continues to carry out enforcement activities to ensure the protection of the revenue. Taxpayers are encouraged to speak with the Tax Authority to make suitable arrangements, if
they are faced with difficulties in honouring their tax obligations, particularly where a judgement has been handed down by the Court. Failure to comply with a Court Order will
result in strong enforcement action to recover the outstanding amounts.
