Consumption Taxes for September and October due Friday November 28

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is reminding taxpayers that the due date for filing returns for Consumption Taxes, to include General Consumption Tax (GCT), Special Consumption Tax (SCT), Telephone Call Tax (TCT), and Guest Accommodation Room Tax (GART), for the month of September 2025 is Friday, November 28, 2025. The original due date of October 31, 2025 was extended to facilitate those individuals and businesses affected by Hurricane Melissa. Taxpayers will not incur penalties for late filing or late payment within this extended period.

TAJ is also advising taxpayers that Consumption Tax Returns for October 2025 are also due on November 28, 2025. Therefore, taxpayers will file and pay both September and October returns to meet the November 28 deadline. 

Taxpayers are reminded that filing is mandatory online on TAJ’s website at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm . Payment can also be made via the TAJ’s eServices platform on its website, using a Credit Card or Debit Card with Credit Card features. Other payment options include:

  • NCBOnlineBanking
  • ScotiaOnLine and Mobile App
  • Direct Funds Transfer

TAJ encourages taxpayers to make use of this additional time to ensure that their filings are accurate and complete. TAJ remains committed to supporting taxpayers during this period and encourages al to take advantage of the extension.
