Employer’s Annual Return (S02) Due April 1

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is advising employers that the due date for filing the Employer’s Annual Return (S02) is April 1 2019, as the original due date falls on the weekend. Taxpayers are reminded that the Return MUST be filed online using the tax portal at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm and can only be done once employers and/or their agents are registered to do so.

Additionally, support for employers and/or their agents who wish to get guidance on the registration and filing process of the S02, is being facilitated through the continued Special Taxpayer Assistance Programme (STAP) at several locations island-wide, the TAJ Customer Care Centre at 888-Tax-Help (829-4357) or the eFiling centre located at the Constant Spring Revenue Service Centre.

Persons may also utilize TAJ’s eFiling facilities at select Tax Offices to file their Returns online using its computers while getting support.

Employers are advised that once they are filing online they must ensure that the form is properly completed, to include the TRN and NIS for the employees listed.

Taxpayers are encouraged to settle all other outstanding GCT, PAYE and Income Tax obligations before April 2, as compliance action for all tax arrears and unfiled Tax Returns will commence thereafter. They may also opt to use the TAJ online facility to enter into a payment arrangement or contact their local Tax Office to do so.
