Employer’s Annual Return (S02) Due March 31

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is reminding employers that the due date for filing the Employer’s Annual Return (S02) is Thursday March 31, 2022. Taxpayers are reminded that the Return MUST be filed online using the tax portal at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm and can only be done once employers and/or their agents are registered to do so. Employers are further advised that when filing online they must ensure that the form is properly completed, to include the TRN and NIS for the employees listed.

Additionally, employers are advised that the Employer’s Annual Return (Form S02) has been revised for this filing period, in keeping with international best practices, feedback from stakeholders and at the request of TAJ’s partner agencies. The revised  Return captures more information, as well as provides more convenience and efficient use for the taxpayer.

Free tax season support is available to employers and/or their agents until March 31 as the Authority continues to observe COVID19 public health and safety protocols. This means persons can access support from their local Tax Office via an appointment system, with the safety of its TAJ personnel and clientele in mind. Taxpayers may also contact any Tax Office through a bank of telephone numbers available at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm to make an appointment, allowing them to sit with TAJ personnel who will help them to file their Returns, and register for the convenience of eServices ahead of the expected increase in online traffic for the due date.  

Additionally, support for S02 filers who wish to get guidance on the registration and filing process of the S02, is being facilitated through the TAJ Customer Care Centre at 888-TAX-HELP (829-4357).
