Tax Administration Jamaica Reminds Employers that Employer’s Annual Tax Return (S02) Due March 31

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is reminding all employers that the Employer’s Annual Return (S02) is due on March 31.

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is reminding all employers that the Employer’s Annual Return (S02) is due on March 31. Employers are being urged to file and make any outstanding payments on or before the deadline to avoid penalties and interest.

In an effort to enhance the accuracy of information uploaded for employees, the S02 return filing functionality was updated to do a TRN and name validation against the information in the TRN database.

TAJ is also taking steps to have the same validations done for the S01 declarations; however, this will be addressed at a later date.

Employers are therefore encouraged to verify that the names of the employees (First and Last Name) being submitted on the payroll returns match the information on the employees’ TRN records.

The Tax Authority encourages taxpayers to take advantage of its convenient online payment options, which include:

  • www.jamaicatax.gov.jm, using a Credit Card or a Debit Card with Credit Card features
  • Direct Funds Transfer
  • NCB Online
  • Scotia OnLine and Mobile App

For further information or assistance, persons may contact the TAJ Customer Care Centre at 888-TAX-HELP (888-829-4357).
