Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is reminding ALL employers that their Employers Annual Return (S02) is due on March 31, 2016 and must be filed electronically via the TAJ Portal www.jamaicatax.gov.jm.

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is reminding ALL employers that their Employers Annual Return (S02) is due on March 31, 2016 and must be filed electronically via the TAJ Portal www.jamaicatax.gov.jm.

Employers and their agents are reminded that a business must be registered in the TAJ Portal to allow for the S02 to be filed online. Further, employers are advised that once they are filing online they must ensure that the form is properly completed, to include the TRN and NIS for the employees listed.

Beginning today and though to the end of March, TAJ will continue to provide guidance to employers and/or their agents on the registration and filing processes of the S02. This will be facilitated through the continued Special Taxpayer Assistance Programme (STAP) available at several locations island-wide and also through the TAJ Customer Care Centre at 1-888-Tax-Help (829-4357).

The requirement for all employers to file their Employers Annual Return online, which was introduced on January 1, 2015, was implemented in partnership with the National Housing Trust (NHT), the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) and the HEART Trust NTA. This filing period, taxpayers will find the filing process more user-friendly and simplified due to the introduction of the new online platform, the Revenue Administration Information System (RAiS).

For further information persons may contact the Tax Administration’s Customer Care Centre at 1-888-Tax-Help (1-888-829-4357) toll-free or visit our website www.jamaicatax.gov.jm.
