GCT Returns for December 2014 are due

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is reminding business operators that GCT returns and payments for the month of December 2014 are due on Friday, January 30, 2015.

Following a recent amendment to the GCT Act, which took effect October 1, 2014, monthly GCT returns are now due on the last working day of the month. Previously returns were due on the last day of the month. As a result GCT returns filed and payments made after the last working day of the month will be considered late and the necessary penalties and interest charges applied.

Person are reminded that their GCT Returns may be filed online via the TAJ website at www.jamaica.gov.jm or submitted at any of the 29 tax offices located across the island.
