Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is reminding all taxpayers that the deadline for filing the Employer’s Annual Return (S02) and General Consumption Tax (GCT) Returns for the month of February was extended to today, Tuesday, April 1, 2025. This extension follows system challenges experienced on the Monday, March 31, 2025 deadline, which impacted taxpayers' ability to complete their filings and make payments.
The system will be reconfigured from the March 31 due date to reflect the April 1, 2025 extension. This means that any late filing penalty or interest accrued as a result of the system challenges, will be subsequently reversed.
TAJ recognizes the inconvenience caused and has worked with its service provider to resolve the issue, and has taken the necessary steps to facilitate a smooth filing process. Taxpayers who were unable to submit their Returns yesterday, are urged to take advantage of this one-day extension and complete their filings today.
Employers and businesses can submit their Returns via TAJ’s online portal at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm.
Customers are reminded that they have several options to make payments, to include online via the TAJ website, TAJ Direct Funds Transfer (DFT), NCB online banking, Scotia Online or Mobile App, or visit their nearest Tax Office to ensure compliance. The TAJ team remains available to provide assistance and support where needed.
For further information or assistance, taxpayers may contact TAJ’s Customer Care Centre at 888-TAX-HELP (888-829-4357) or visit any of our Tax Offices Island wide.
