New Falmouth Tax Office to Reopen on November 6
Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) will open the doors of the Falmouth Tax Office at its new location Lot 5 Cornwall Street, Falmouth Trelawny on Tuesday November 6, 2018.
Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) will open the doors of the Falmouth Tax Office at its new location Lot 5 Cornwall Street, Falmouth Trelawny on Tuesday November 6, 2018. The building project which started in January 2017 features several amenities designed for greater comfort and efficiency, at a cost of approximately $157M.
The 4,000 square feet property has been designed to preserve the Georgian architecture in keeping with Falmouth’s designation as a heritage town. The two storey facility will accommodate thirty (30) staff members including four (4) staffers from the Municipal Corporation, wheelchair access and parking for the physically disabled persons as well as regular parking.
TAJ will also be piloting its new automated Queue Management System at this facility which is designed to significantly improve customer traffic management, and is expected to become a recurrent feature of Tax Offices across the island in the long term.
All services previously offered at the old location will continue to be available at the new location, once it opens to the public on Tuesday November 6 at 8:30am.
The move comes as TAJ continues to re-engineer its operations to improve service and increase efficiency.
