Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) will open several offices on Saturdays, during the three month Traffic Ticket Amnesty, beginning this Saturday August 12, to facilitate members of the public paying their outstanding traffic ticket fines. The following Tax Offices will operate between the hours of 10am – 4pm:
Motorists will be able to utilize the Saturday opening to pay their traffic fines inline or online using the designated eSpots at any of the listed locations. Taxpayers are reminded that they must have either the ticket number or the traffic ticket itself to facilitate easy payment either at tax offices or online via the TAJ Portal at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm.
Employers filing their monthly Statutory Deductions (S01) for the month of July, will also be able to avail themselves of the Saturday convenience ahead of the August 14 due date.
All usual weekday services, including the renewal of Driver’s Licences, will be accessible as the tax authority continues to provide greater convenience to access its services. However audit and compliance activities will not be available during the Saturday operation.
In addition to the opening this Saturday, persons may opt to do business on Saturday August 19, 26, September 30 and on the last two Saturdays of the Amnesty, October 21 and 28.
Persons seeking support to make queries about any outstanding tickets are directed to contact the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Call Centre at 948-0411 Mondays to Thursdays (8:30am-5pm) Friday (8:30am-4pm) and Saturdays (10am – 4pm).
