Stamp Duty and Transfer Tax Office reopens for business at Harbour Street

 
Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) wishes to advise the public that the Stamp Duty and Transfer Tax Office has reopened for business Monday, February 4, 2019, offering all services. Normal operations resumed at 8:30 am at that office located at 111 Harbour Street, Kingston. This follows the completion of emergency remedial work and clean-up operations carried out over the past few days, to address conditions due to a recent flooding incident.

While the office had been closed for the three (3) days since January 29, interim measures had been implemented to make services available at other TAJ locations in downtown Kingston.

Although the Stamp Office has reopened, the public is again reminded that once a case number has been assigned to a stamp matter, customers have the option to make payments at any Tax Office or online via the TAJ Tax Portal at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm. Additionally, the usual Stamp services are still available at the May Pen Tax Office and the Montego Bay Revenue Service Centre.  
 
Tax Administration Jamaica again apologizes for any inconvenience that the recent closure may have caused.
