TAJ Announces Reopening of May Pen, St. Ann’s Bay and Santa Cruz Tax Offices

In the two weeks since the passage of Hurricane Melissa, Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is continuing in its efforts to restore services on a phased basis and has now been able to reopen May Pen, St.

In the two weeks since the passage of Hurricane Melissa, Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is continuing in its efforts to restore services on a phased basis and has now been able to reopen May Pen, St. Ann’s Bay and Santa Cruz Tax Offices. This follows comprehensive assessments, minor repairs, clean-up operations, access to power and ICT connectivity.

As of Monday, November 10, 2025, TAJ has resumed operations at eighteen (18) of its network of thirty (30) Tax Offices. The public is advised that the following Revenue Service Centres and Satellite offices have reopened:

  • Kingston Revenue Service Centre
    • Spanish Town Tax Office
    • Portmore Tax Office
    • Linstead Tax Office
    • Old Harbour Tax Office
    • Morant Bay Tax Office
    • Port Morant Tax Office
    • Stamp Duty and Transfer Tax Office (Air Jamaica Building)
  • St. Andrew Revenue Service Centre
    • Cross Roads Tax Office and Non Cash Office
    • Port Maria Tax Office
    • Port Antonio Tax Office
  • Mandeville Revenue Service Centre (Tax and business locations) 
    •  May Pen Tax Office
    • Lionel Town Tax Office
    • Chapelton Tax Office
    • Santa Cruz Tax Office
  •  St. Ann’s Bay Tax Office
  •  Large Taxpayer Office (Kingston)

Additionally, several TAJ business offices have also resumed operations, including our Customer Care Centre that may be reached at 888-Tax-Help (888-829-4357) and those offices located at Oxford Road, Kingston Mall, Regal Plaza, PCJ Building, Ocean Boulevard, Stores Newport West, Air Jamaica Building and TAJ’s Corporate Office at 116 East Street, Kingston 4. 

As power, water, and internet connectivity continue to be restored across the island, additional offices are expected to reopen in coming weeks. However, based on preliminary damage assessments, some offices in the worst affected areas may remain closed for a longer period. Updates will be provided to the public as they become available.

During this period, customers are reminded that a wide range of online payment and filing services remain accessible, including: 

  • TAJ’s Website: www.jamaicatax.gov.jm — for mandatory electronic filing and payments using credit cards or bank cards with credit features
  • Direct Funds Transfer (DFT) — for business-related tax payments
  • Scotia Online and Mobile App
  • National Commercial Bank (NCB) Online Banking Platform

Additionally, customers may use TAJ’s website to:

  • Pay for fitness certificates
  • Settle Property Tax obligations
  • Pay traffic ticket fines
  • Renew private motor vehicle registrations
  • Pay for renewal of driver’s licences

Please note that individuals who renew their driver’s licence online may operate their vehicle with the receipt and expired licence for up to 60 days. However, they must submit the required application form and passport photo to have the physical licence card printed.

TAJ commits to continue working with our various partners and service providers to restore operations at other locations as quickly and as safely as we are able, as well as to continue supporting staff in the worst affected areas.

TAJ apologizes for any inconvenience caused and encourages all citizens to continue exercising caution and prioritizing safety.
