TAJ begins suspension of some services to upgrade systems

As of December 1, 2015, Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) has begun conducting upgrading activities for the December 7 roll-out of phase two of its Revenue Administration Information System (RAiS).

As of December 1, 2015, Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) has begun conducting upgrading activities for the December 7 roll-out of phase two of its Revenue Administration Information System (RAiS). Customers are reminded that during this transition period several services will be limited or suspended to facilitate the system upgrades. As a result, taxpayers will be unable to carry out certain transactions relating to TRN, TCC, Zero-rating and eservices in relation to Income, Education, Payroll, Minimum Business and Asset Taxes.

Taxpayers are therefore advised to delay conducting related transactions until after the transition period ends, as TAJ works to improve its service efficiency and delivery with even greater convenience and security.

Once the system upgrades have been completed on December 7, taxpayers will be able to do even more with their online experience. At that time customers will be able to submit applications for their Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC) and initiate the Taxpayer Registration
Number (TRN) process electronically. Improved web services related to Income, Education, Payroll, Minimum Business and Asset Taxes will also be implemented on December 7.
