TAJ Closes All Locations for Emancipation Weekend

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) wishes to advise the public that all Tax Offices, including the Portmore branch, will be closed on Saturday August 2, in observance of the Emancipation Weekend.

During this period, customers are encouraged to utilize TAJ’s online services at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm for various transaction during this period. These include the payment of Property Tax, Motor Vehicle Certificate of Fitness Fee, and Driver’s Licence Renewal fee payment, Traffic Ticket Fines, Business-Related Taxes and Fees. 

Additionally, persons may query their Property Tax liability, apply for Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC) and renew their Motor Vehicle Registration Certificate (MVRC).

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Normal operations will resume on Monday, August 4, 2025.
