TAJ Holds Access to Third Party Information Sessions out West
Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) recently held a series of stakeholder meetings with hotel and medical sector representatives in Western Jamaica.
Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) recently held a series of stakeholder meetings with hotel and medical sector representatives in Western Jamaica. The ‘hands-on’ sessions provided technical support to participants, and were aimed at assisting them with uploading third party data to TAJ’s Revenue Administration Information System (RAiS).
The Third Party Data web-service is an online facility, which is accessed via the RAiS platform, and allows all third party reporting entities to now, from the convenience of their offices, upload and submit annual third party data as required. The deadline for the submission of third party data, which is to be used for compliance activities, was May 31, 2016.
This new approach to taxpayer education, forms part of the tax authority’s stakeholder engagement strategy designed to build partnerships and foster voluntary compliance, while connecting in a more personal and interactive manner. The sessions will continue island-wide as Tax Administration seeks to change the way it does business by actively engaging the public in various ways.
