TAJ Refunds Services now available at King Street and Spanish Town offices
Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is advising the public that as of Monday July 25, 2016, its refunds operations have been expanded and can now be accessed at the King Street and Spanish Town tax offices.
Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is advising the public that as of Monday July 25, 2016, its refunds operations have been expanded and can now be accessed at the King Street and Spanish Town tax offices. This is in addition to the refunds services recently made available at the Constant Spring location.
As a result of these changes, refund services will no longer be offered at the former offices at 116 East Street, Kingston. Individuals, including pensioners and other PAYE persons, Embassies, Pension Schemes, Financial Institutions, Companies, Schools, government entities, approved organizations, business persons and Institutions claiming withholding tax refunds, are advised that they may now conduct their usual refund transactions to include directing queries at any of these new locations.
The expansion of refunds operations to the Constant Spring, King Street and Spanish Town offices completes the first phase in the decentralizing of the service. The long term plan is to make refunds services available at other locations island-wide for the convenience of the public.
Please note that dedicated telephone lines are being installed at the new locations and the number(s) will be communicated to the public in subsequent releases. TAJ apologizes for any inconvenience this relocation may cause, as it continues to re-engineer its business processes for greater efficiency and improved customer service delivery.
Taxpayers are being reminded that GCT returns for which refunds are being claimed, must continue be filed online at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm.
