TAJ Vaccinates over 120 Staff in Corporate Office Blitz

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) joined the national vaccination drive when it hosted a Family Day Vaccination Blitz on Friday October 8, 2021 for over 120 staff members and their families, at its Corporate Offices, Donald Sangster Building on East Street, Kingston. The blitz activity, a collaboration between the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MoHW) and the Tax Authority, was geared towards staff and their family members getting their first and second doses of the Astra Zeneca or the single dose Johnson and Johnson vaccines.

The Tax Authority in its continued efforts for staff to #BeVaxCompliant, also used the opportunity to educate its visitors, including the MoHW team to #BeTaxCompliant, with a 10-minute presentation by Cardia Cephas, Taxpayer Education Officer on how TAJ is changing the way it does business for their convenience. Miss Cephas quipped that, “now that I got my jab, I’ll do my job”, as she impressed upon the audience the importance of meeting their tax obligations and how to access the suite of online services available.

Tax Administration Jamaica joins the growing call for persons to get educated and vaccinated. It will continue to support the national effort through increased awareness among its staff about COVID-19, while exploring opportunities for hosting other blitzes in collaboration with MoHW. TAJ will continue the observation of the public health and safety guidelines and encourage its staff members to make informed choices about their personal health and safety.
