Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) Advises Continued Disruption of Motor Vehicle Registration Services Islandwide

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is advising the public that Motor Vehicle Registration-related transactions remain temporarily unavailable at all Tax Offices islandwide, as well as online through its eServices due to ongoing system disruptions affecting the platform used to process these services.

As a result, customers are currently unable to complete motor vehicle registration transactions in-office or online, that includes renewal or new motor vehicle registration, transfer of vehicles or purchase of registration plates.

TAJ wishes to reassure customers that payments for Motor Vehicle Certificates of Fitness and payment of traffic tickets remain unaffected and can still be completed conveniently through the TAJ eServices platform or in person at any Tax Office. Our technical team and service providers are actively engaged in resolving these issues and are working assiduously to restore full functionality in the shortest possible time. 

TAJ sincerely regrets the inconvenience this disruption may cause and thanks customers for their continued patience, understanding, and cooperation as we work to normalize services.
