Tax Offices to be closed on Saturday April 15 in observance of Easter Holiday

Tax Administration Jamaica wishes to remind its customers that the following Tax Offices will be closed to the public this Saturday, April 15, 2017 in observance of the Easter holiday.

•  Constant Spring
•  Montego Bay
•  Spanish Town
•  May Pen
•  Mandeville
• Savanna-la-mar
•  St. Ann’s Bay

Business persons, companies and individuals are reminded that they may conduct certain transactions online via the Jamaica Tax Portal www.jamaicatax.gov.jm to include:
 

• The payment & filing of returns
•  Payment of Property tax & traffic tickets

Saturday operations will continue at the eight (8) tax offices islandwide on April 22 & 29 from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. TAJ has been offering Saturday opening at select tax offices island wide since March 11, 2017 and had indicated that this service would continue through to the end of April (with the exception of Saturday April 15). Prior to this, Portmore had been the only Tax Office to offer the Saturday opening service.

Property owners in particular, will be able to avail themselves of support at these locations, to query and pay their property tax online using the designated e-Spots.

They may also opt to request a printout of their property statements, make any queries and pay in-line. Additionally, taxpayers will be able to make payments of any kind; conduct motor vehicle transactions; process driver’s licences; file tax returns; as well get assistance through our taxpayer service teams. Audit and Compliance services will not be offered on Saturdays.
