Taxes and Statutory Paymentsdue December 16, 2019

Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) is advising business persons that the due date for Payroll StatutoryDeductions and4thQuarterIncome Tax Payments are due on the 14th and 15thof December 2019, respectively. However due to the fact thatthesedatesfall on the weekend, the due date isnow Monday,December16, 2019 for the following:

• Payroll Statutory Deductions(S01) for November
• Estimated Corporate Income Tax (4thquarter)
• Self Employed Statutory Payments (4thquarter)

Business persons are being encouraged to use our online payment option as the TAJ’s onlineservice accommodates the filing and payment of all major tax types, including Income Tax,Property Tax, General Consumption Tax and Payroll Taxes.

Persons may log on to the TaxPortal at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm from the convenience of their home or office and at anytime, to pay the taxes now due, using a valid credit card.Persons with a Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS) Account, may also opt to use the AutomatedDirect Deposit facility available on the TAJ Website, using the Automatic Clearing House (ACH). This option allows users to make payment from their bank account directly to TAJ'sbank account up to a maximum of $99,999,999.00.

In addition to the online options, persons are being reminded that tax payments may bemade at any of the 28Tax Offices.

Employers paying over statutory deductions are reminded that they can benefit from theEmploymentTax Credit by paying their S01 on time. Persons are also encouraged to honourtheir tax obligations by making these payments on or before December 16 to avoidadditional interest and penalties.
